In achieving any goal, success or step forward, the mechanism is exactly the same. The steps you need to take are oftentimes pretty simple.
Take the example of losing ten kilograms of surplus body weight.
Everybody knows how to do that. The steps are easy enough for everybody to come up with:
- eat less, in smaller portions
- don’t eat until the craving has stopped, stop a bit earlier
- eat less or no sugar and other unhealthy stuff
- don’t eat snacks, cookies, crisps, candy
- don’t drink alcohol
- exercise every day
- drink lots of water
- eat little carbs
If you do this ten weeks or so, you will lose your ten kilo, guaranteed. It’s a simple method.
Still not many people succeed in doing so. The trick is to really hang in there and have the discipline to do it and keep on doing it.
Every sports person, artist, entrepreneur or expert reaches his or her goals the same way. The necessary steps don’t seem to be that hard, if we look at them from a glance. But discipline is the key here. The difference is made and the rewards are taken only by those who have the discipline to remain faithful to the necessary steps. Days, weeks, years on an end.
In my own experience, every modest success I’ve reached was the result of persistance and discipline. I just kept on going. This was the case when I needed investors to finance my dream job hotel, when I was writing my books, organizing and selling tickets for my theater shows and in growing my company.
The problem was never what to do, but in showing up and keeping on going, time after time.
That is exactly the reason why I decided to attend the 100 Day Warrior program. I know that persistence is the weakest link in realizing the dreams I have now: more peace in my mind, living closer to myself, losing ten kilos of weight, growing super strong physically.
And persistence is what this program is all about. Because of the way it’s designed, because of the group process, and because of Atalwin, he wouldn’t let you go…
And than one can move mountains in 100 days.
I love that!
